Okay... I keep going to write this starter and I just realised, I have no idea what point we want it from. Post canon with an AU of him surviving. During the film - does Anakin contact his gradnson and go HE'S LYING or...?

I think Anakin contacting him and being like 'yo this is a lie' seems plausible, esp considering Palpatine tried to lie to him that he was his dad or something in the comics? so during the film maybe...?

That makes sense.... I'm thinking maybe the Death Star scene? After Rey's left to go find "Gramps"?

(Look I love Harrison's cameo, but come on, have Anakin appear then and let Ben meet his actual Grandfather, not the version Palps has been taunting him with for years.)

yeah whatever he was doing in the hours Rey went off to Ahch-To and him showing up way too late to the party at Palpy's Sith Rave.
